November is here - election day¹, beginning of the holiday season, and a time of shorter days. Add the weight of recovering from recent storms and it’s easy for our nervous systems to go into overdrive. This month, I want to offer a space where your soul can exhale, and find an antidote to the winds swirling inside.
With all that may be vying for your attention, I invite you to take a few moments each day to notice something in your life. Let this noticing be a quiet act of gratitude – a way to ground yourself in abundance, in the midst of the currents pulling at your peace.
A part of me lives in the land of limits. She’s the one keeping track of time, the chore chart (remember how we used to earn stars?), the checkbook, and handling the paperwork— she’s keenly aware of what’s left on the list versus what’s already completed.
Her perspective often sees time as 'only an hour left to do it all!' rather than 'a whole hour to explore what's possible.'
Scarcity mindset vs. Abundance mindset. Whatever we feed, grows. For November, let’s intentionally choose to feed our minds with abundance.
To support this intention, I’ve created a simple Notice November calendar with a prompt to get us started. Each day begins with “Abundance is…” and your task is to notice what is inviting you into abundance, big or small and jot it down. These simple reflections can provide an opening to fresh possibilities.
Rather than usual answers like spouse, friends, job, or car, you might pause for a moment to be fully present…to tune in to your breath, your body, what brings you peace, what makes you smile, and what’s drawing you into the here and now. The past few days, watching the leaves fall has brought me into the present, calling me to witness and cheer them on in their graceful surrender.

Below are some examples from the book “The Art of Abundance – A Simple Guide to Discovering Life’s Treasures” by Candy Paull that might inspire your reflections:
Abundance is…a pot of homemade soup bubbling on the stove.
Abundance is…being early for an appointment.
Abundance is…having ears open to hear the music of life.
Abundance is…playing dress-up with friends of any age.
Abundance is…an orchestra warming up.
Abundance is…a back rub.
Abundance is…having enough to share.
Abundance is…respecting others’ dreams and differences.
I hope these examples inspire your own reflections! Consider printing out a page for each of your family members and sharing this post with your friends. Together, let’s nourish our abundance mindset and notice what we want to grow!
As you move through this month, remember that gratitude and abundance are central themes throughout Scripture, too. Verses like Ephesians 5:20, 1 Thessalonians 5:18, Romans 5:3-5, and James 1:1-4 call us to give thanks in all circumstances, even through trials. Here’s a link to 55 Bible Verses About Gratitude to Inspire Thankfulness
As we embrace this season, may we notice the abundance around us and let it fill our hearts with gratitude. Wishing you a peaceful, abundance-filled November.
Til Next Time…
Lisa
Something to Consider:
As the holidays approach and loved ones ask, 'What would you like for Christmas?' Consider suggesting something meaningful, something you might not get for yourself. One-on-one coaching could be that 'non-essential' gift you’ve thought about but set aside. If that resonates, mention it to the person asking! Instead of receiving more 'stuff' that might not last, why not invest in something that brings clarity, courage, and lasting value?
For an inside look at what coaching can offer, see the testimonials below.
If you’re ready to take the next step - or know someone who is – feel free to pass along this blank gift certificate for them to complete along with the coaching package details. They can fill it out and return it, wrapped up as a gift to you, contributing as much or as little as they’d like toward your future.
Testimonial: I had never worked with a life coach before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. But Lisa’s gentle approach made it so easy for me to be open about what was weighing on my heart. She cultivated a very safe space where I felt seen, heard, and supported. Because of Lisa’s active listening skills and wisdom, she helped me become more of aware of some negative thought patterns I have about myself, and provided practical steps on how to change those. It has been so transformational for me! I would highly recommend working with Lisa!
Testimonial: Lisa has a gift of offering up safe space to explore your life and what God is doing within it. Her kindness and thoughtfulness make it easy to feel comfortable sharing your heart and stay open to what God wants to do within and in between sessions. When you talk to her, you'll immediately recognize how seriously she takes the role of coach and stepping in as a faithful witness of someone's life. If you're looking for a place to feel seen, heard, and encouraged to fall deeper into the plans and dreams God has for you, look no further! Lisa will be a wonderful guide.
