Thank you for sharing Lisa, this story is a vulnerable blessing. I love how the Holy Spirit asked you “What do you know for sure?” and as you answered it all was centred on Jesus. I am encouraged to do the same in my own life when the hard and overwhelming scenarios bubble up 🤍

Thanks for your response. I was unsure if I should share all the intimacies but sensed there might be others like me growing up that didn’t know how to have the relationship with the Lord. I would love to have seen that in action more. 💞

'Did you catch that everything I knew for sure was about Him? The answer was Jesus.'

He does leave his fingerprints all around us, that’s for sure! Building blocks for our faith journey. So cool you have eyes to see! ❤️

What a spirit-changing exercise God led you to that afternoon, answering the question, "What do you know for sure?" That's quite an inspiring list you created, and could surely be extended. On a nearby shelf sits a small, empty journal just begging for a worthy theme to fill its pages. I think this is it! When the next hard thing presents itself, I can present IT with pages of firm affirmations of who our Jesus is and what our Jesus does. Thank you, Lisa!

Maybe "This I Know," after the Sunday School song we all learned as children!

Please send a pic of “This I Know” at some point. What a tribute to the Lord!

This is such an encouraging piece. The way God actively speaks to you and the way your heart just fills in the blanks of all the ways we can trust in Jesus. I do think I see him most in the before, behind, beside. I look back more and see the way he has held certain situations together or intertwined them for good. His faithfulness through all of the difficult terrain has proven true time and time again.

Lisa, wow, did I resonate with this. It touches on many things God and I have conversed about over the last year — being present even to the hard and meeting Him in that. Inviting Him into the mundane. Facing scary diagnoses. And so much more.

Thank you for sharing, my friend 💛

So glad it all worked out for you. So many times we call on Jesus for the big things - and of course we should- but it’s finding him in the daily routines too. He is there always. When it’s hard for us to do the daily tasks or we feel annoyed by the family to do lists, we can feel bogged down. We can turn to him and tryst that He will get us through the mundane.

I love how you asked yourself “what do I know to be true”? That is such a great response to these times. There is always more that is true besides the hard.

That was truly a Spirit inspired question, I cannot take credit. And grateful I was listening. Perhaps I need to go in a room without distractions for an hour more often. 💕

I think that would be of benefit to everyone if we all spent time alone in silence.
